FIELD: mining industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in the first stage of concentration of precious and rare-earth metal placers as well as extensive processing of existing production tails. Concentration of precious and rare-earth metals involves grinding base ore and fractioning it followed by concentration of selected fractions by means of air sorting. More specifically, grinding is continued to class ≤5.0 mm and class 0.001-5.0 mm is used to obtain fractions<0.25 mm, 0.1-0.5 mm, 0.16-1.0 mm. 0.315-2.0 mm, 0.63-4.0 mm, and 1.26-5.0 mm, whose air sorting involves separation of metal from rock carried out at air flow velocities from 0.01 to 50 m/sec.
EFFECT: reduced concentration process cost and increased productivity of existing metal recovery plants.
