FIELD: motion of boats; synchronization of scull handles.
SUBSTANCE: outer tubes of handles are provided with inner tubes of lesser diameter which are blanked off with flanges on side of thwartman position. Twin ears secured to them have coaxial holes for articulation with handle-holder by means of tube of lesser diameter. Each tube is provided with rectangular hole on side opposite to thwartman position. Ears with coaxial holes are secured on its edges. Similar ears are secured on tube on side of thwartman. Each inner tube consists of two segment sections to which two strips are secured. Secured between these strips at distance of 5-6 mm from edges of tube segments are two strips, 6-7 mm wide which form passages for laying the ropes with braided ends. Extensions of tube segment strips are provided with ears having twin coaxial holes along axis of symmetry of inner tube. Mounted on one pair of holes near tube segments is rope block; bearing roller is mounted at the end. Said flange is provided with rolled hole. Mounted on holder-handle between two plates along axis of symmetry are two rope blocks. One end of each rope is secured to said ear in center of tube of one scull. This rope is passed through one said passage of inner tube embracing respective rope block of this tube and is passed through other passage of inner tube; it is passed through hole of flange of inner tube and through one rope blocks of handle holder. Other end of rope is secured to ears found on end face of tube of other scull.
EFFECT: automatic synchronization of operation of sculls; enhanced efficiency of rowing.
