FIELD: engine engineering.
SUBSTANCE: high-pressure fuel pump for internal combustion engines comprises housing that receives the supplying unit. The supplying unit is controlled by the control unit which is mounted inside the housing secured to the housing of the pump. Between the top side of the pump housing and bottom side of the control unit housing is a space which receives the exit section of the supplying fuel pipeline and inlet section of the pipeline connected with the supplying unit of the pump. The space receives the insert which has at least one deflecting passage (11), through which the high-pressure fuel is supplied from the supplying fuel pipeline to the bottom side of the housing of the control unit.
EFFECT: improved cooling of pump control unit.
