FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: method intends for suppressing life and growth of cells of malignant tumors and pathogenic bacteria in areas of human body found by diagnostic methods due to extermination of cells. Tumor or area of organ where pathogenic bacteria or viruses are present is effected by focused shock wave formed by optical breakdown of liquid in focus of reflecting ellipsoid and tumor or area of organ where bacteria or viruses exist is effected by shock wave focused at the other focus of the same ellipsoid, brought into coincidence with tumor or mentioned area of organ. For optical breakdown the light pulse is used with energy of 30 mJ and higher which duration equals to less than 30 seconds to provide splitting and deformation of DNA molecules and other genes at the front of shock wave with mutation of genes in other structures of cells as well as with cessation of activity of cells of tumor or bacteria or viruses.

EFFECT: higher probability of extermination of tumor cells and viruses.
