FIELD: medical equipment, in particular, transportation equipment providing movement during transportation of patients and stoppage thereof.
SUBSTANCE: wheel has rotating or non-rotating bracket, pedal with stopping means, and protruding lever of pedal, said lever being equipped with leaf spring. Upon actuation in upward direction, pedal is moved by no more than 75 deg and is engageable with bracket. Pedal lever and leaf spring define gap of at least 1.5 mm corresponding to position wherein brake is released. Apparatus of such construction may be mounted on brackets of series-produced wheels.
EFFECT: simplified construction and manufacture, provision for creating of common operating conditions, and wider operational capabilities.
