FIELD: technology for researching, realized by probing space by radio- or acoustic signals, possible use for determining unevenness of researched environment, and also detection of presence of objects.
SUBSTANCE: method is based on emission of probing signal, receipt and processing of reflected signal, on measuring of signal level, determining on basis of signal level, and also length of its delay of presence and position of object or presence of unevenness in environment, while, presetting thickness of researched layer and distance to it, layer-wise probing of environment is realized by emitting probing signal of limited length and performing processing of received reflected signal in time range, displacement of which relatively to starting moment of emission of probing signal and length are determined in accordance to equations: τ≈D/(c/2); Tr≈Δ1/(c/2)+Tp, where τ - displacement of aforementioned temporary interval; D - distance to researched layer; c - speed of expansion of probing signal; Tr - length of aforementioned temporary interval; Δ1 - thickness of researched layer; Tp - length of probing signal.
EFFECT: increased resistance to interference of system.
