FIELD: technology for transforming radio or acoustic signals during their processing during receipt and may be used in informational channels with Doppler frequency shift, provided for by relative positioning of objects, for example, during communication between moving objects or in location.

SUBSTANCE: compensation of Doppler shift of broadband signal during location of moving objects provides possible determining, except for angular coordinates, of distance to object. Also, in the method for processing signal, based on transformation of signal with following optimal filtration, signal transformation is performed by means of transposition of frequency spectrum, Doppler shift of signal frequency is compensated, in particular, expansion of frequency spectrum of signal is performed for compensation of negative Doppler frequency shift and compression of frequency spectrum of signal is performed for compensation of positive Doppler frequency shift. Transposition of frequency spectrum is performed by alteration of temporal shift of signal values during processing of signal.

EFFECT: multiple increase of bandwidth of communication channel.
