FIELD: antenna engineering; self-contained super-broadband antenna for miscellaneous radio systems, or base antenna of antenna array.
SUBSTANCE: proposed antenna whose voltage standing-wave ratio does not exceed 2.5 in 18-fold band of operating frequencies has insulating substrate and screen. Metal screen has slit line that divides it into two identical parts; slit line is originally rectilinear section which then expands obeying exponential law. Rectangular slot made in one of metal screen parts in parallel with slit line axis forms three-wire strip line in conjunction with rectilinear section of slit line and metal screen. Ferrite ring installed at end of rectangular slit contacts slit line generatrix at its outer circumference; length of slit-line rectilinear section is chosen to be not less than outer diameter of ferrite ring.
EFFECT: enlarged operating frequency range.
