FIELD: radio engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to radio engineering, namely to ultra-wideband antennas with linear polarization, and can be used as an independent antenna or as part of antenna arrays for radio communication systems, radar and radio navigation. Outer edges of the metal layers of the ultra-wideband Vivaldi antenna of the cardioid shape, consisting of a dielectric substrate, a connector, a screen and two metal layers, are made in cardioid form using the following formula:

EFFECT: reduced electrical dimensions of the antenna at the upper and lower operating frequencies, as well as increased coefficient of overlapping of the operating frequency band by the VSWR≤3 level.
