FIELD: metal working, finish working of openings.

SUBSTANCE: head includes housing with vernier, dial and cutter holder in the form of screw gage to one end of which cutting tip is secured and to other end dowel is secured. Cutter holder is engaged by thread with two nuts divided in axial direction by means of elastic members. One nut is rigidly joined with dial; other nut is fixed by means of lock rings in housing. Said housing is designed for fixing in mandrel. In order to increase accuracy of working due to creation of radial tightness, lock ring has lug for engaging with mandrel. Lug of lock ring may be oriented in direction of resulting cutting force.

EFFECT: enhanced accuracy of boring.
