FIELD: instrument making.
SUBSTANCE: boring head comprises a casing, a tool holder representing a fine adjustment screw with a cutter plate attached to the screw one end and a key fitted on the screw other end. The said tool holder engages the dial and the sleeve interconnected by clamping elements preventing turning. Note here that the said dial is arranged in the casing to turn therein, while a flexible element and a screw with spacer are fitted between the sleeve and casing in appropriates seats. To add to machining accuracy, the dial is furnished with an undercut representing an inner cylindrical surface, while the tool holder thread crests are truncated to make an outer cylindrical surface to interact with the aforesaid undercut.
EFFECT: higher machining accuracy.
