FIELD: wood-working industry, in particular, practice of length cutting of timbers.
SUBSTANCE: the method consists in alignment, clamping and length cutting. After cutting of the assortment in the axis by a vertically installed saw the obtained segments are turned around the horizontal axis, piled on a feed conveyer and fed for further cutting to horizontally installed saws for simultaneous cutting of the segments obtained from one assortment of each of the horizontally installed saws. The machine consists of a feed and receiving conveyers, aligning and clamping mechanisms, mechanism for piling of the assortments, length cutting and removal of timbers from the receiving conveyer. Installed on both sides of the mirror-image feed conveyer are the mechanisms for turning the segments obtained from one assortment as a result of length cutting by the movable sawing mechanism with a vertically installed saw, each representing a clamping mechanism on a support, installed in the lower part of the mechanism are vertical rollers engaged with the guides located on a support, the clamping mechanism is hinge-joined to a hydraulic cylinder installed on a support providing for motion of the clamping mechanism in a trajectory having the shape of the segment, restricted by a chord traced perpendicularly to the axis of the assortment to be sawn. The mechanisms for turning of segments positioned on one end of the assortment are installed stationary, and on the other end-for their motion on a rail track laid along the twinned feed conveyer and the end clamp of the assortment laid on the twinned feed conveyer and aligned relative to it by the aligning mechanism with a subsequent turning of the segments, obtained as a result of length cutting by the vertically installed saw, by means of the tongued clamping-turning device located at the end of the clamping mechanism and rigidly fastened on the rotary shaft engaged with a rack installed at the end of the rod of the hydraulic cylinder fixed on the body of the clamping mechanism for transfer of reciprocating motion from the hydraulic cylinder and turning of the segment through 90 degrees about the horizontal axis. The pile of each segment is laid on the twinned feed conveyer for alignment of the segments relative to it by the aligning mechanism and displacement in the longitudinal direction to the successively arranged stationary sawing mechanisms with horizontally installed saws.
EFFECT: reduced cost of the machine and reduced time for its adjustment.
