FIELD: aviation.
SUBSTANCE: proposed ornithopter has case with articulated wings, power plant consisting of energy unit and wing flapping motion drive which consists of hydraulic cylinder rigidly secured to case; connected to rod of this hydraulic cylinder are ends of two booms. End of each boom is articulated with base of respective wing. Energy unit consists of hydraulic pump and motor. Hydraulic pump is connected with control unit of wing flapping motion drive by means of delivery and return pipe lines; wing flapping motion drive is connected with two chambers of hydraulic cylinder by reversible pipe lines.
EFFECT: simplified construction.
