FIELD: aircraft engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of aviation, in particular to the designs of aircraft with flapping wings. Ornithopter contains a body, a power unit for driving the wings, including a cylinder rigidly attached to the body with a piston, the rod of which is pivotally connected to the wings. Wings are made in the form of insect wings elastic, with rigid front leading edge-spars and with the possibility of oscillation around these edge-spars. Longerons are pivotally connected through the wings of the wings to the hull. Body has two telescopic rods, each of which consists of an axis and a hollow section. Telescopic rods are pivotally connected to the hull and spar of its wing.
EFFECT: increase in the lift of the wing is ensured.
