FIELD: transport.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to aircraft engineering, particularly to ornithopters with flapping wings. Ornithopter comprises airframe, two wings pivoted to airframe and arranged above after another along airframe lengthwise axis. Wings are driven by piston-engine drive to flap. Both wings are articulate to make integral oscillation system. Said oscillation system allows varying its rigidity in flight and comprises constant-rigidity elastic element and variable controlled rigidity elastic element. Constant-rigidity elastic element is made up of spring jointing left and right wings together. Variable controlled rigidity elastic element is made up of double-sided air cylinder with its top rod supporting spring while bottom rod is connected with two-stroke ICE piston.
EFFECT: higher efficiency.
