FIELD: glass compositions useful in production of stable substrates or sheet glass.
SUBSTANCE: claimed composition contains (%): SiO2 55-70; Al2O3 0-5 or 5-10; ZrO2 5-10 or 0-5; B2O3 0-3; Na2O 2-6; K2O 5-11: MgO 0-6; CaO 2-11; SrO -12; BaO 0-2; SO3 more than 0 but not more than 0.5; preferably 0.005-0.15 in the next ratio: Na2O+K2O >= 8 %: MgO+CaO+SrO+BaO > 10 % in weight ratio of K2O/Na2O > 1.5, in particular approximately. Said composition has deformation point more than 600°C and density of 3, in particular approximately 2.7 at 25°C.
EFFECT: glass composition without optical defects due to prevention of barium sulfate crystals formation.
