FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: method involves applying active electrodes to temporal sides of orbit at the level of eye edges. Electric oculogram is recorded showing electro-oculographic potential increments for determining glance movement direction. Amplitude and electro-oculogram formation time are measured. Electric oculogram amplitude describes glance motion in the horizontal plane and corresponds to eye rotation angle H on X-axis in spherical coordinate system. The electro-oculogram formation time corresponds to glance motion in diagonal plane and corresponds to eye rotation angle D in spherical coordinate system. The angle H and D values are used for calculating eye rotation angle V in vertical plane that corresponds to glance shift along Y-axis in spherical coordinate system. Angles H and V are the coordinates for peripheral stimulus reproduced on the screen to which testee glance is directed after having accomplished saccadic movement.
EFFECT: eliminated trajectory calculation errors.
