FIELD: engineering of technical means for detecting metallic objects positioned deep in soil (misfired ammunition, cables, pipelines, etc).
SUBSTANCE: deep metal detector has generator, receiver, main emitting and receiving magnetic antennas, compensating emitting magnetic antenna for forming minimum zone of primary magnetic field in place of position of receiving magnetic antenna. Distance between main and compensating emitting magnetic antennas does not exceed half the value of distance between main emitting and receiving magnetic antennas. Generator is positioned between main and compensating emitting antennas. As magnetic antennas ferrite antennas are utilized. As main emitting antenna, multi-rod ferrite antenna can be utilized. Antennas are positioned on connecting bar.
EFFECT: improved effectiveness.
