FIELD: sealing engineering.
SUBSTANCE: method comprises framing the spacer by the welded metallic spacer that has the same shape as the spacer and is U-shaped in cross-section. To produce the spacer, the metallic sheet is welded to make a blank of the same shape as the surface to be framed and the edge is flanged. The flanged section is cut to make a spacer having L-shaped cross-section. The blank is set on the spacer and pressed with bending the other edge of the spacer to make the framed blank with metallic spacer which is U-shaped in cross-section.
EFFECT: reduced cost and labor consumption.
