FIELD: gaskets for flange connections.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in installations and apparatus for operation at both low and high temperatures in the range from -200° to +450°C, at high pressures, in particular, in flange joints of pipelines for the transportation of hydrocarbons in liquid and gaseous form, liquefied gases, pumps, filters, heat exchangers and other equipment for thermal and nuclear energy, in the chemical and oil and gas industries and other branches of technology. The sealing gasket for the flange connection comprises a sealing ring with a thickness of h1 made of at least one layer of thermally expanded graphite, along the inner and outer diameters of which the inner and outer obturators are installed, and an external restrictive ring with a thickness of h2 enclosing the sealing ring made of metal and having at least part of each of its end surfaces adjacent to the sealing ring, concentric teeth, on which a layer of soft sealing material is applied, whereas the thickness h1 of the sealing ring is greater than the thickness h2 of the outer restrictive ring.
EFFECT: constant seal stress under variable load and a safe and reliable seal even under severe operating conditions.
