FIELD: railway transport; signaling and communication.
SUBSTANCE: invention is designed for traffic control. Distance covered by train is counted by locomotive counter by signal from track circuit. Counting is started when locomotive starts leaving said track circuit and is finished when track circuit is clear. If information received by counter coincides with preset length of train set by locomotive driver, signal is sent that train has passed the track section with its full complement.
EFFECT: improved safety of traffic owing to reliable checking of arrival of train with its full complement with its full complement without axle counter and tail car pickup.
