FIELD: railway transport; signaling and communication.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to interval control of traffic. When locomotive leaves control section, by signals from track devices, counting of distance covered is started by axle pickup of locomotive which is finished when value corresponding to length of train kept in locomotive memory is reached. From moment of entering of control section, counting of time of occupation of control section is started by track and locomotive devices which is finished for track devices when train tail leaves control section, and for locomotive devices, at moment of termination of said counting of distance covered. Values of time of occupation recorded by track and locomotive devices are compared, and if they coincide, signal is sent stating arrival of train with its full complement.
EFFECT: improved reliability of checking passage of train over track section with its full complement.
