FIELD: railway transport; signaling and communication; traffic control.
SUBSTANCE: track relays of track circuits are deenergized and energized in turn by train passing along two adjacent track circuits. Time of occupation of second track circuit is counted and, basing on result of measurement, speed of train head is determined. Time of occupation of second track circuit from moment of clearing of first track circuit is determined and, basing on result of measurement, speed of train tail is determined. Averaged speed of train is found basing of said speeds. Taking into account time of occupation of second track circuit, sum of train length and second track circuit is found by multiplying said time by averaged speed. Length of train at entering said track circuits is determined by subtracting known length of second track circuit from found summary length. Length, thus found, is compared with that transmitted from preceding station and if their values coincide, arrival of train with its full complement is noted.
EFFECT: improved safety of traffic owing to reliable checking of arrival of train with its full complement.
