FIELD: engineering of auxiliary equipment for vehicles, in particular, navigation devices for determining position of vehicle, using equipment for structuring or formatting data from geographical map.
SUBSTANCE: device has indication block visually connected to vehicle user. Also present are serially connected GPS receiver, coordinates transformer block and block for calculating search parameters. Unlike known devices of given function proposed device additionally includes interconnected blocks: block for storing fragments of plan of local area and block for selecting fragments of plan of local area, input of which is connected to output of block for calculating search parameters. Also, block for forming information messages is provided with added memory, first input of which is connected to output of block for selecting fragments of local area plan, second input - to output of coordinates transformer block, and output - to input of indication block.
EFFECT: possible exclusion of manual operations from process of detecting position of vehicle and, subsequently, substantial simplification of vehicle navigation for user.
