FIELD: engineering of devices for mechanical tests, in particular, engineering of clamps for holding samples during stretching test.
SUBSTANCE: clamp for holding samples during stretching test consists of body, board, replaceable pressing sponges, connected to body by rods, and springs, and replaceable wedge-shaped insert. On side surface along perimeter of insert a groove is made. One sponge is made wedge-shaped, and insert has aperture for additional bending of sample. Both sponges can be made wedge-shaped.
EFFECT: improved reliability of holding of samples, made of materials with high hardness level, expanded arsenal of devices for purpose of performing stretching tests.
