FIELD: non-destructive control, possible use for non-destructive testing of supporting-rod isolators of disconnectors and high voltage isolators for other tasks.
SUBSTANCE: method for acoustic control over mechanical state of high voltage isolators includes excitation by impact of resilient oscillations in isolator, registration and transformation of resilient oscillations to electric signals, analyzing electric signals with following estimation of mechanical state of isolator. Strikes are applied to upper flange and porcelain below upper flange perpendicularly to isolator axis and at angle 45° to axis at transition line from upper skirt to cylinder-shaped base. Registration of oscillations is performed on lower flange of isolator. Defect level of isolator is estimated on basis of normal relations of times of passage of resilient oscillations from impact points to oscillations registration point. As normalization coefficient, least time of passage of resilient oscillations for defect-less isolator is taken. As additional defect level coefficient, value of distribution of normalized relations of time of passage of resilient oscillations under conditions of strikes from four sides is taken.
EFFECT: removed drawbacks characteristic for known methods of non-destructive testing of porcelain high voltage insulators.
