FIELD: railway transport; automation of traffic control.
SUBSTANCE: proposed system contains distance and speed sensor, speed meter, time mark generator, current time determining unit, pressure sensor installed on brake cylinder, control panel, traction mode control unit, braking mode control unit, computer unit, memory unit, clock-pulse generator, controller, two decoders, control unit designed for setting modes of operation and correcting control parameters, three interfaces, indication unit and speech processor unit. System includes also second pressure sensor installed on equalizing reservoir and designed for control of brake release with supercharging of brake main line, and unit for measuring voltage in contact system and currents on traction motors. Computer unit is made for calculating optimum speed in real time minimizing energy consumed for traction. Said system operates at traction, coasting, speed maintaining and braking modes.
EFFECT: improved accuracy of following train diagram, reduced consumption of power for passenger train traction, improved safety and reduced psychophysical load on driver.
