SUBSTANCE: invention relates to railway transport and may be used for train control. Proposed method is implemented subject to train category. On receiving codes by locomotive automatic signaling devices that require definite speed limitation, train speed is limited to magnitude set by said received code. Braking is executed at maximum tolerable intensity subject to train category. Braking start coordinate is defined as difference of distance from current coordinate to that of beginning of section for permitted speed and as ratio between the difference of current speed squares and speed at section of tolerable motion speed and double minimum tolerable braking intensity.

EFFECT: higher traffic capacity.
