FIELD: glass industry.
SUBSTANCE: starting solution is composed of, wt parts: "TEOS" 187-220, water 220-270, ethanol 60-200, aluminum nitrate 110-150, calcium acetate 10-30, and barium acetate 10-20. Gelation time is 4-6 h and gel drying temperature 180-200°C. Drying is continued until constant weight is attained.
EFFECT: achieved high homogeneity, absence of knags and inclusions observed in glass synthesized according to conventional glassmaking technology from common raw materials.
