FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: method involves applying laparotomy. Lower uterine segment incision is drawn 1.0-1.5 cm above the vesicouterine fold. The incision is 2.0-3.0 cm long and 0.5-1.0 cm deep. The uterus is bluntly perforated with one forefinger reaching the fetal bladder. The other forefinger is introduced into the perforated hole and the hole in the uterine wall is widened by drawing muscle fibers apart in the lower segment and mucous membrane in longitudinal direction to 10.0-12.0 cm. The fetus and placenta is taken and the wound is sutured.
EFFECT: reduced risk of traumatic injury caused to the fetus.
