FIELD: pneumatic tires industry; methods of manufacture of the skeletons for the covers of the pneumatic tires.

SUBSTANCE: the invention is pertaining to the field of pneumatic tires industry, in particular, to the method of manufacture of the skeletons for the covers of the pneumatic tires. The method of manufacture of the skeletons for the covers of the pneumatic tires provides for formation of the toroidal-shaped shell of the skeleton using the method of the geodetic winding of the rubber-coated strap of the cord onto the mandrel and simultaneously form the thickenings on each side. The thickenings on each side are formed by laying in the circumferential direction under the threads of the skeleton and above the threads of the skeleton of the additional layers made out of the rubber-coated threads of the cord of the tire on the section from the rear end of the side and up to the beginning of the tire side strip with formation of the shaped thickenings out of the strands of the cord threads in the area of the side and fulfilling the role of rings. The winding pitch of the rubber-coated cord in an area of an equatorial plane of the toroidal-shaped shell of the skeleton is taken no less than the width of a rubber-coated cord, but not exceeding the value, at which the clearance between the strips in the area of the equator exceeds space between the threads of the cord in the strip. The realization of the method allows to manufacture the pneumatic fire cove side of the heightened rigidity and to simplify manufacture of the skeletons of the tire covers at their winding onto the mandrel, because there is no need in the additional equipment for manufacture and placement of the side rings.

EFFECT: the invention ensures manufacture of the pneumatic tire cover side skeletons of the heightened rigidity, simplification of operations of winding on the mandrel.
