FIELD: geophysics; oil geology.
SUBSTANCE: method can be used for optimization of placement of new wells at tested object. According to the method, data of on-ground survey and results of inspection (data on logging and analysis of core) of wells are used. Spectral-time parameters are calculated from seismic-survey data which parameters contain indirect information on types of profile within specific time (depth) interval. Capacitance-filtration properties of corresponding geological layers are judged from well data. Then data on all the spectral-time parameters are subject to multidimensional analysis to reveal isolated accumulation of points (clusters) in spectral-time parameter area which clusters correspond to different types of profile. Comparing values of spectral-time area in points of area with their meanings for selected clusters performs forecasting.
EFFECT: improved reliability of basis of survey and exploitation works: improved efficiency of geological-survey works.
