FIELD: heavy electromechanical engineering; assembling water-wheel generator stator frame.
SUBSTANCE: proposed method includes fixation of dovetail wedges pre-welded to angle supports to frame flanges on inner diameter end, preliminary mechanical treatment, and finishing; welding to angle supports is effected prior to mechanical treatment; wedges are fixed to frame flanges by joining supports to wedge over its rectangular section, tail part being shaped over outline corresponding to slot size of core segments.
EFFECT: reduced thrust on welds due to preventing strain of wedges whose tail part is mechanically treated prior to welding supports.
