FIELD: electrical and electromechanical engineering; assembling water-wheel generator stators.
SUBSTANCE: proposed method includes installation of axial ribs on inner surfaces of frame sectors, placement of electric steel segments in alternating slots to form split ring of stator core, compression and fixation of core, disassembly of core into sectors for hauling them to installation site, and reassembly of sectors into ring during in-situ installation of stator; novelty is that stator core is factory-assembled by installing temporary segments turned every other layer in vicinity of joint between sectors and loosening compressed core on site of operation, removing standard wedges extreme at sector joints, laminating while replacing shortened segments by standard ones; prior to laminating sectors being joined are installed in a spaced relation relative of each other at distance equal to or longer than difference between cords on outer and inner diameters of standard core segments; assembly wedge is installed in one of them upon removal of standard wedges, assembly wedge is set in positioned, and long segments are fixed on wedge, assembly wedge is replaced by standard one, and then sectors are braced together until contours of slots fully coincide, whereupon standard wedge of other sector is installed.
EFFECT: enhanced operating reliability and reduced labor consumption for in-situ assembly of water-wheel generator.
