FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: method involves applying small-to-large intestine end-to-side anastomosis. When treating intestine ends, purse-string suture is placed on the small intestine end and on the lateral large intestine surface. Large intestine surface is cut in the center of the suture. Incision ends and small intestine end are pressed between working surfaces of compression device. The compression device is manufactured from material possessing shape memory properties. Cross-folds of bridle type are formed on the large intestine surface. The device and compressive suture line are invaginated. The bridles are covered with large intestine walls when invaginating. The large intestine walls are fixed 2.5-5 cm far from intestine connection line. The small and large intestine walls are sutured along invaginate edge.
EFFECT: enhanced effectiveness in building ileocecal transition elements when suturing the small and large intestine.
