SUBSTANCE: method and device can be used for building completely new small-sized surface mounting automatic machines. Method of orientating articles of different shape when transporting them is based on delivering articles to surface of transportation and article line sequences are formed for subsequent transfer of the articles to common carrier by damped surface of sequent transfer element set with flexible plate which is made for discrete shift. Any transfer element is made for vertical shift to receive articles and to mount or to fix them in corresponding positions at common carrier that is placed under transfer elements. Closed film surface with transfer elements is disposed onto tooth gears made with grooves; discs are connected together. Casting in form of rectangular plate makes any transfer element. Damped surface made of leather processed as suede is fixed at one side of plate. On the other side there is stiffening rib, which is disposed along mentioned rectangular plate. Mentioned flexible plate is made in central part of stiffening rib; the plate has curves. Curves are disposed along stiffening rib at its central part. Plane of flexible plates is disposed coplanar to rectangular plate. Pitch of grooves in tooth discs is chosen to be equal to pitch of disposition of curves of flexible plates.
EFFECT: improved reliability of operation.
