FIELD: metallurgy, namely heat and chemical treatment of parts of refractory materials and high-alloy steels, possibly used in electronics, instrument making, electrical engineering, in tool making industry branch for strengthening special tools.
SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of high temperature heating for diffusion saturation in mixture at placing parts into doubled container. Mixture contains lanthanum hexaboride, ammonium tetraboronfluorate with fillers and synthetic corundum taken at relation 1 : 0.3 : 1; filling inner ducts of cavities subjected to carbo-boronizing with saturating mixture and placing parts to insulated mean zone in bulk of boron containing component; filling bottom ad upper portions of charging container with char coal through insulation gaskets of heat resistant material. In concrete variants of invention carbo-boronizing process is realized at charging burden to furnace at 1050-1060°C and cooling it after soaking together with furnace till temperature 100-120°C.
EFFECT: possibility for applying uniform coating of improved micro-hardness, wear resistance.
