FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: method includes packing of machined parts in the container with powder mixture out of carbon and nitrogen containing components with additions of boron containing and silicon containing ingredients, heating and holding. Boron and carbonitriding is performed during heating to 980-1000°C with holding for 1.0-3.0 h and further cooling in air. The powder mixture components include spent charcoal carboniser and carbamide in equal quantities. Borax and boronsiliconnitride ceramic powder are used as additions, they are added in quantity 1.0-1.5 wt % each. Cooling is performed in air. During reinforcement of parts with complex configuration to the powder mixture additionally refractory siliceous varnish KO-819 is added to ensure paste-like consistency. In some cases evacuation to 300 Pa is performed prior to heating.
EFFECT: higher wear resistance of reinforced parts.
