SUBSTANCE: method involves machining cutting tool to final sizes; providing chemical nickel plating by depositing 5-35 micron thick nickel phosphide layer; providing thermal processing combined with fusing of coating in powdered boron carbide of 25-40 micron fraction size at temperature of 960-1,050 C for 10-20 min, with following cooling at cooling rate of 0.2-2.5 C/s to 500-600 C; providing thermal processing in furnace, with following discharge of product.
