FIELD: investigating or analyzing materials.
SUBSTANCE: method comprises dividing the monochromatic linearly polarized radiation into two equal beams. The first band passes through the measurement cell when the optically active agent is present or absent and is mixed with the second beam. The total radiation is detected, and variation of the azimuth of the polarization plane as the ratio of the amplitudes of the variable components of the photocurrents is determined.
EFFECT: reduced duration and enhanced accuracy of measurements.
