FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: method involves marking incision in sclera for irrigation cannula to be introduced. Physiologic saline is first supplied via the cannula into eye cavity to normalize intraocular pressure. Next, lower incision wall is periodically pressed synchronously with unit-dose physiologic saline supply for phacoemulsification purposes to make crystalline lens fragments approach the incision in turn. The crystalline lens fragments are removed via phacoemulsification tunnel incision from the anterior eye chamber.
EFFECT: enhanced effectiveness of treatment; simplified and accelerated operation method; no additional instruments and materials required; reduced risk of postoperative complications.
