FIELD: rolled stock production, possibly production of wide hot rolled strips, mainly of tube steels.
SUBSTANCE: method is used for coiling hot rolled wide strips of tube steels micro-alloyed by niobium and having carbon content 0.07 - 0.12% and thickness 8 - 12 mm.
Method comprises steps of heating slab for hot rolling till temperature no more than 1200°C; rolling it in rough and final stand groups of wide strip rolling mill; performing differentiated cooling of strip for further coiling it; sustaining temperature of rolling process termination in rough stand group depending upon final thickness of strip in range 990 - 1030°C or 960 - 1000°C; setting temperature of rolling process termination in finish stand group in range 800 - 840°C. Differentiated cooling of rolled strip is performed at lowered cooling intensity of strip end portions (by 16 - 25% relative to central portion) along length consisting of 7 - 12% of the whole strip length. Temperature of coiling strip is set in range 570 - 610°C.
EFFECT: possibility for producing strips with predetermined set of physical and mechanical properties, especially viscosity properties.
