FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: method includes hot rolling of strip up to required final thickness on wide-strip rolling mill of hot rolling with cooling of its surface by water in inter-mill gaps and at collecting roller table and following winding of strip into reel. Required equal mechanical properties and geometrical parametres in the whole volume of reel, including its external coil, are provided ensured by that at cooling on collecting roller table of back by movement of rolling strip end of length equal to perimetre of circle of external coil, totally wound into roll strip, it is implemented disconnection of water feeding to surface of rolling, after what it is implemented winding of strip into roll, herewith external surface of external coil of totally wound into roll strip on coiling machine is intensively cooled by water during 12-24 seconds at a cooling rate 5-7°C/s, after what it is implemented removing of roll from reel block.
EFFECT: increasing of yield of metal-roll of thickness 6-14 mm from tubular grades at manufacturing of wide hot-rolled strips.
