FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in production of multilayer sheets by hot rolling of asymmetrical packs. According to invention, contact clearance between main blank and cladding layer is sealed over periphery of claddable layer, and pack is evacuated by means of tube. Steel tube for sucking out air is preliminarily pickled over inner surface, is installed in horizontal hole drilled from one or two end faces of main blank, and is welded to pack by vacuum tight seam. Opposite vertical hole is made in main blank. When vacuum is created, tube is heated to 800-1000°C and, without switching off vacuum pump, tube is subjected to fire welding at a distance from blank end face and is cut off. End face of remaining part of tube is additionally welded over. Protective cap is fitted on tube.
EFFECT: improved reliability of adhesion of metals owing to delivery of neutral gas in pack, creating of vacuum and keeping vacuum in pack in process of heating of pack for rolling before beginning of rolling.
