FIELD: nuclear power engineering; water- and gas-cooled reactors.
SUBSTANCE: nuclear reactor core has parallel coolant channels in the form of dispensing, intermediate, and collecting manifolds. Fuel microelement loose filling is disposed between manifolds to join fuel microelements together. Dispensing and collecting manifolds are disposed in each channel along axis parallel to those of dispensing and collecting manifolds of remaining channels; intermediate manifolds odd-numbered along coolant flow are additionally joined with adjacent channels through mentioned filling. Each intermediate manifold is formed by hollow perforated cones or pyramids joined together in pairs through their bases. Cones or pyramids are vertically installed in each intermediate manifold odd-numbered along coolant flow along axis parallel to axes of dispensing and collecting manifolds, respectively.
EFFECT: simplified design, facilitated coolant distribution in fuel microelement filling.
