FIELD: magnesium production; methods of purification of the fluent gases of magnesium production.

SUBSTANCE: the invention is pertaining to the field of magnesium production, in particular, to methods of purification of the effluent gases. The method provides for the countercurrent treatment of the fluent gases with the solution of sodium carbonate by its circulation in the tank-absorber system and removal of the waste solution from the circulating system. The waste solution, after its removal from the circulating system is treated with the hydrochloric acid with production of the mixture of the salts of sodium chloride, magnesium chloride and potassium chloride. The mixture is dehydrated with production of the commercial salt containing 60-70 % of sodium chloride. Dehydration is exercised by steaming out and centrifuging. The waste solution is removed from the circulating system at its content of the sodium chloride of 200-350 g/l. The invention allows to produce the commercial product - sodium chloride, which may be used in the own production of magnesium as the correcting additive in carnallite at the raw materials dehydration.

EFFECT: the invention ensures production of the commercial sodium chloride, which may be used in the own production of magnesium as the correcting additive in carnallite at the raw materials dehydration.
