FIELD: production of radiation sources such as positron radiation sources.

SUBSTANCE: proposed process includes application of radionuclide on substrate, placement of the latter in source casing provided with foil window, this being followed by sealing radionuclide-carrying substrate within source casing. Radionuclide is applied to substrate using electrolytic method and closed on substrate with radiation-resistant film; radionuclide used for the purpose is germanium-68 which is in equilibrium state with respect to daughter radionuclide gallium-68. Source casing is assembled of capsule with window and closing appliance; source sealing is made by way of laser welding.

EFFECT: enhanced mechanical strength, reduced personal irradiation probability.
