FIELD: hydraulic binder made from finely-ground blast-furnace slag; manufacture of purification works, water basins, sumps and building objects subjected to action of sulfate.
SUBSTANCE: proposed hydraulic binder contains blast-furnace slag finely ground to dispersity of 5000 cm2/g by Blane moderately latent, sulfate carrier and activating additives. According to data obtained during analysis, moderately latent blast-furnace slag has the following composition, %: vitreousness, more than 93; SiO2, 34-40; CaO, 34-37; Al2O3, more than 9 but preferably below 13; (CaO+MgO)/(Al2O3+SiO2), 0.88-0/98. These magnitudes may be obtained at mixing several kinds of slag. Binder contains preferably 0.5-5% of Portland cement clinker or Portland cement. Thus, high-quality binder may be made on base of low-grade slag; this binder possesses high sulfate-resistance and strength compared with strength of standard Portland cement at low hydration heat.
