FIELD: mining, particularly to reduce coal strength during technological coal preparation to cutting.
SUBSTANCE: method involves drilling bores or bore-holes; filling breaking material in bores or bore-holes and initiating breaking material operation. The breaking material is liquid carbon dioxide, which is used to impregnate rock massif to be loosened. To initiate rock massif breakage liquid carbon dioxide is heated up to phase transition temperature by supplying hot gases in bores provided with sealing means to prevent hot gas leakage from bores.
EFFECT: increased efficiency of large mineral volume loosening.
