FIELD: engineering of cassette for disk, technology for protecting recording surface of disk, engineering of disk drive, into where aforementioned disk cassette is loaded.

SUBSTANCE: cassette contains body, which is guided by both side walls of holder during insertion into holder of disk drive device. Body has flat portions of surface, made with possible realization of surface contact with both side walls of holder, and curvilinear parts of surface, connecting flat parts of surface. Due to surface contact of cassette with internal wall of holder, when cassette enters disk holder, stable and precise loading is provided for. Angular parts of disk cassette body have circular shape, thus making it possible to produce a compact cassette.

EFFECT: decreased dimensions of disk cassette.
